If you’ve got pale skin, it might be time to book a course of IPL skin rejuvenation, stock up on beauty products and add some colour to your complexion. Fair skin can be beautiful, but it’s important not to look washed out.
Here are five ways to bring pale skin to life:
Use the right blushers
The right blusher can totally revamp your appearance, so fill your vanity closet with an array of beautiful products. Opt for warm colours in shades of pink and peach and avoid anything too red, brown or orangey. If your skin is really light you’ll want to keep your makeup as natural as possible to bring out your naturally luminosity. You don’t want to look like a clown, so make sure you apply any blusher in a natural light using a soft-bristled brush. If you’ve older skin use cream-based products as blushers made of powder can settle in fine wrinkles, crow’s feet and lines.
Use tinted moisturiser
Finding a foundation to match very pale skin can be hard, so why not try tinted moisturiser? This will help your skin to glow without turning your brown, red or orange. Opt for a product with a SPF of 15 or above and protect your skin on those hot summer and crispy winter days. Pale skin is particularly prone to wrinkles, so you might also want to consider an anti-wrinkle cream or opt for Botox.
Wear lipstick
To spice up your look, try wearing a delicious coral lipstick as this will complement your creamy complexion. Apply it with a special lip brush and if you wear lip liner, ensure it’s just a shade or two dark than your lipstick. Wearing a lip liner that’s too dark will destroy your natural glow and will look too harsh against your fair skin. Match your coral lipstick with some shimmery eye shadow and you’ll be ready for a night out in no time.
Avoid dark eye makeup
If you have a fair complexion it’s a good idea to avoid heavy eyeliner and black mascara as this could harden your look. Choose aqua or lavender eye shadows and use blue or green eyeliners to bring out the colour in your eyes. Blend it in well and make sure any harsh lines are softened using an eye makeup brush. Smoothing the colours out will ensure you achieve a look that’s both radiant and beautiful.
Dye your hair
If you’ve got mousy brown or dark hair, try adding some warmth to your locks by getting mahogany, red or purple streaks. These rich colours work well against a pale complexion and will help to bring your face to life. If your hair is really light, avoid dark colours as you’ll have a problem maintaining the routes. Opt for golden or blonde highlights instead and add some depth to your hairdo.
Exfoliate, moisturise and apply the right make up and your pale complexion will look great in no time.
