One thing that I have noticed while I am out exercising is that it is much easier if you have some sort of distraction. As you are
exercising, you want to be able to motivate yourself as much as you can.
What’s more inspirational than music? Read on to learn how music can help you to stay motivated.
First of all, you might not want to listen to something that has the potential to be slightly depressing, degrading, or that will make you angry. So that means no emo crap, no rap, and no metal. My personal favorite work out music is techno. It’s fast, usually happy, and it’s great to dance to. Lucky for us, most gyms and other workout locations already provide music played over loud speakers. I personally like to bring my own personal mp3 player or radio of some sort to play my own music.
If you decide to listen to your own personal music player, make sure that you consider the safety of the music device and the safety of yourself. Keep the device in a place where it won’t get wet by either sweat or drinking water. Same goes for your headphones; If water gets on either of these devices then you can pretty much kiss them goodbye.
If you are on a treadmill, make sure that you place your music device in some sort of place on you or on the treadmill where it won’t move. If it falls, it could break or the headphones could even get caught in the machine! That would be awful!
If you choose to run outside, only have one earphone in so that you can still hear the cars around you. If you can’t hear, how will you know if a truck is about to run you over or something? Make sure that you are able to hear and you should be just fine.
Listening to music is great, but you can also sing or whistle as you are working out. It can help distract you from any pain or discomfort you are having and can really help your breathing to be more consistent. When you are listening to music, singing, or whistling, it relaxes your mind so you are able to think clearly and visualize your goals and help you to push yourself more.

I love you.
